COVID-19 Statement

Posted March 13, 2020. Updated August 23, 2021

Dear Patients –

At the Nicholson Clinic, our number 1 priority is and always has been the health, safety and well-being of our patients. With that in mind, we want to keep you updated and informed of our plans, precautions and information as it pertains to the Coronavirus / COVID-19.

COVID-19 Update, August 23, 2021 – Yes, we are open!
We are still seeing patients in our clinic locations and operating out of several hospitals and outpatient surgery centers across DFW. As always, the safety of our patients, staff and communities comes first. We will continue working closely with our facility partners to monitor capacity and make adjustments as appropriate.

Nicholson Clinic Grand Re-Opening on May 4, 2020.
We are pleased to announce that we will re-open the clinic to see patients in person beginning Monday, May 4th, 2020. We have social distancing measures in place such as limited staff, spaced out appointment times, and patients waiting in individual exam rooms, rather than the common waiting area. We are taking all necessary precautions to adhere to healthcare facility standards for the safety of all our patients and staff. Given the nature of elective surgery, our patients are relatively healthy and we shouldn’t be seeing anyone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or thinks they may have been exposed to someone who has been infected.

If you are sick or not comfortable coming into the clinic at this time, we will continue to offer telehealth appointments for new consults and follow-up visits. These virtual appointments will be billed to insurance at the time of service.

Hospitals Announce Re-Opening for Elective Surgery.
Recently, Governor Abbott had asked the medical community to postpone all ELECTIVE procedures and surgeries. This includes any surgeries that are not immediately medically necessary or life-saving. We have been in contact with our partner hospitals regarding elective surgery mandates and have been able to re-schedule surgeries for mid-May and early June. All insurance approvals will be honored in the future if we are forced to postpone your surgery.

We know many patients have been impacted financially by the effects of COVID-19. In an effort to provide value during this challenging time, our partner hospitals are offering patients special consideration and payment plans to help with their deductibles. Nicholson Clinic has credentials at the top hospitals in DFW and we are proud to offer not only the highest standards of patient care, but financial assistance when our patients need it most.

Nicholson Clinic is seeing patients and operating in accordance with the CDC, NIH, government recommendations and healthcare facility standards for the safety of all of our patients and staff.

Please visit the CDC website to learn the facts about COVID-19.

The entire team at the Nicholson Clinic is committed to your health and safety.

Thank you for being a patient. We wish you good health.
