At the Nicholson Clinic, we're committed to helping every patient who needs weight loss surgery – no exceptions. Finances should not be a roadblock. So our patient care advocates are standing by to discuss what payment option works best for you.

Insurance

The Nicholson Clinic accepts all major insurance, and we have patient care advocates on staff to help you easily manage the process.

Bariatric procedures are covered by most insurance companies, provided you meet their requirements. These qualifying requirements are often a BMI of 35 (with underlying health conditions) or BMI of 40+ (with no diagnosed underlying health conditions.) In some cases a BMI of 30 or over may be sufficient.

Payment Plan

Surgical Cost

Individual surgeries and patients are unique and you should know costs in advance. To help you in making your surgical decision and plan your finances, we've included this procedure cost list:


LAP-BAND® - $9,900
Included in Lap-Band®:

  • All pre and post-operative office visits with Dr. Nick
  • Surgical fee for Dr. Nick
  • LAP-BAND® fills for life
  • Ambulatory surgical facility fee
  • Surgical fee for anesthesiologist

Sleeve - $12,200
Included in sleeve:

  • All pre and post-operative office visits with Dr. Nick
  • Surgical fee for Dr. Nick
  • All routine hospital charges with up to 2 nights in hospital
  • All routine pre-operative testing done at hospital (routine labs, chest x-ray, EKG, upper GI)
  • Pre and post-operative bariatric educational materials
  • Surgical fee for anesthesiologist

Gastric Bypass (RYGB) - $17,200
Included in RYGB:

  • All pre and post-operative office visits with Dr. Nick
  • Surgical fee for Dr. Nick
  • All routine hospital charges with up to 2 nights in hospital
  • All routine pre-operative testing done at hospital (routine labs, chest x-ray, EKG, upper GI)
  • Pre and post-operative bariatric educational materials
